Partners
Your clients run on correspondence. So do we.
Two kinds of partner work with Dayfile: the IT providers who look after a construction firm’s Microsoft 365, and the claims and dispute professionals who get the call when a job turns into an argument. Different jobs — the same record.
Which one is you?
IT service providers & MSPs
You manage Microsoft 365 for architects, engineers, contractors and consultants. Your clients have asked you about email management. Dayfile is the version with nothing to roll out.
For IT providersClaims & dispute professionals
Claims consultants, adjudication specialists, construction solicitors, expert QS practices. We don’t do claims. We make sure your client arrives with the evidence.
For claims and disputesFor IT service providers and MSPs
The email management your clients keep asking for — with nothing to roll out.
You have been asked about it. A practice or a contractor wants their project email filed, searchable and safe from the day someone leaves. The tools that do that mean an Outlook add-in on every desk, a folder taxonomy to design, a PST migration project and a support queue that never quite closes.
Dayfile is one read-only connection to the tenant you already manage. The filing happens on its own — by project and by company — and Teams and WhatsApp come with it. Your client gets the record. You get a product you can put in front of every AEC client you have, without the rollout.

What you would be deploying
Built to be easy for the people who manage the tenant.
One admin-consent connection
A publisher-verified Microsoft application, granted read-only access through the admin centre. No per-user links, no passwords, no service accounts.
Nothing on any device
No Outlook add-in, no desktop agent, no mobile app to push. Classic Outlook, new Outlook, web, phone — nothing changes for the users.
No folder taxonomy to build
Dayfile creates and maintains the project and company folders itself, named for the client’s contract form. Nothing for you to design or police.
History without a migration project
What is already in the mailboxes comes in at setup — usually more than a year each. Older PST archives can be loaded separately, scoped and quoted first.
Revoke from the admin centre
Access is removed the same way it was granted. Processing stops immediately. Data is exported or deleted on request.
A security pack you can hand over
Permissions, data flow, UK hosting, retention and deletion, in plain English, for your client’s IT or board. Rob, our CTO, joins the call if it helps.
Your client has asked about email management. You show them Dayfile alongside — or instead of — the add-in tools.
You grant the read-only application in the admin centre and pick the mailboxes. Shared mailboxes are unlimited and free.
The record fills from the existing mailboxes. Teams comes with the same connection; WhatsApp groups are added if wanted.
First-line support through you or direct from us — your choice, agreed in writing. We never go around you.
How partnering works for IT providers
Refer it or resell it. You keep the client.
We are a small company that would rather have a handful of partners we actually work with than a logo wall. What we offer is simple and goes in writing before anything starts.
- Refer or resell. Introduce us and we take it from there, or hold the contract yourself. Commercial terms agreed with you, in writing, before the first client.
- Setup by us, or by you. We connect the first client with you on the call. After that, you do it or we do — whichever suits your service desk.
- Your client, your relationship. Support routes the way you want it. We never sell around a partner.
- Straight answers on the product. What it captures, what it doesn’t, and what is on the roadmap — so you never promise a client something we can’t do.
For claims and dispute professionals
We don’t do claims. We make sure your client arrives with the evidence.
You know how it starts. The client turns up with a box of forwarded emails, a QS who left in March, a site WhatsApp group with four thousand messages and a firm belief that “they agreed it on site”. Before anyone can advise on the merits, someone has to rebuild what actually happened — and bill for it.
Dayfile’s customers don’t arrive like that. Their correspondence has been filed against the job and the counterparty automatically, with every item keeping its sender, date and source. Ask for everything on a variation and the timeline is there — including what the record does not contain. You start on the merits on day one.
We never advise on the claim, draft a submission or represent a party. That is your work, and we refer it.

How it works with a claims partner
The record is built before you need it. Then it keeps building.
The client connects Dayfile
One read-only connection to Microsoft 365. The history in the mailboxes comes in at setup — usually more than a year per mailbox — plus the project WhatsApp groups they choose to include.
The timeline, with the gaps
Everything on the issue in date order — email, meeting transcript, WhatsApp — quoted word for word with sender and date, and a plain list of what the record does not contain. Sometimes “that was never agreed in writing” is the answer.
You take it from there
A full export with originals, attachments, dates and sources whenever you need it. The record keeps building while the dispute runs, so the reply to your submission is filed the morning it arrives.
Claims consultants
Variations, loss and expense, delay. Your client’s correspondence on the issue, assembled and sourced before your first meeting.
Adjudication and dispute specialists
A 28-day clock is not the time to be reconstructing two years of email. The chronology exists on day one, and the gaps are stated.
Construction solicitors
A sourced record your client can search themselves reduces the hours you spend on discovery and the surprises that arrive late.
Expert and forensic QS practices
The underlying correspondence in one place, exportable with originals — so the analysis starts from the record, not from a reconstruction of it.
Insurers, brokers and funders
Clients with a maintained record are easier to assess and easier to defend. We will explain plainly what the record does and doesn’t cover.
Contract and commercial advisers
The retained QS, the interim commercial manager, the NEC specialist — anyone whose first question is “show me what was sent”.
What partnering looks like — for everyone
Simple, two-way, and in writing.
We refer
Dayfile customers who need help with a claim get pointed to a claims partner. Customers who need their Microsoft 365 looked after get pointed to an IT partner. We don’t do either job and we don’t pretend to.
You introduce
Clients who would be better off keeping a record from now on — before the next argument, or before the next leaver — hear about Dayfile from someone they already trust.
We show, you advise
On a live matter we build the timeline and hand it over. On a live tenant we connect it and hand it over. What it means, and what to do next, is yours to say.
Nothing hidden
If there is a commercial arrangement between us, the client knows about it. Terms are agreed in writing before the first client, not after.
“Two years of email. One timeline. Every point tied to its source — plus a plain list of what the record did not contain.”
Your information stays yours.
Dayfile can’t send, edit or delete anything in Microsoft 365, and you can disconnect it at any time. Personal, HR and irrelevant conversations stay out, while sensitive information is only visible to the people who should see it. Your data is securely stored in the UK and is never used to train AI models.

Thirty minutes with Gari, a chartered QS who has sat on both sides of the table, or with Rob if it is the tenant you want to talk about. No pitch — the product on real correspondence, and a conversation about how we work together.
